How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal uses light energy to permanently damage or destroy individual hair follicles. This treatment targets the roots beneath the surface of the skin using a medical grade laser to prevent regrowth.

The hair follicle must be targeted at a specific time during its growth cycle to prevent the hair from returning. As individual hairs could be in different parts of the hair growth cycle at any one time, you will need several treatment sessions to see long-lasting results. We usually recommend 6-8 appointments spaced 3-4 weeks apart.

What Are The Side Effects?

Most people experience no side effects at all, though few exhibit some short-term local reddening of the surrounding skin and possible hyper or hypo pigmentation. You can return to your regular activities immediately after treatment, although it is advisable to keep the skin protected from exposure to direct sunlight for a short period of time.


How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Hair grows in cycles. The laser is only effective on hair in its actively growing cycle. At any one time there will only be certain hairs in that growing phase. This means that consistent treatments at appropriate intervals are absolutely necessary for the best possible results. The number of treatments required depends upon your hormones, skin, hair coloring, coarseness of the hair and density per treated area.

The laser hair removal system causes permanent reduction in the number of hairs growing in an area. Because hair grows in three phases, and each hair goes through these stages independently, it is almost impossible for one laser treatment to permanently reduce all hair in a given area. Clinical studies which have followed patients for one year after completing two treatments have shown that reduction in hair growth was stable for the duration of that time. While individual results may vary, patients typically find that it takes 6 to 8 treatments to get the desired results and it should be performed every 3-4 weeks.

What is Microneedling?

It is a mechanical procedure, which makes use of a micro needling pen containing 12 ultra-fine sterile needles. The needles are simply injected into the skin which leads to formation of small punctures and surface bleeding. The pain experienced is of a very low level because the needles just prick the layers of the skin. In case a person has a very low threshold of bearing pain, he or she can make use of the numbing cream.

The small channels created by the needles are like wounds. BB Glow Mesotherapy... It is a game changer​


How does it work?

BB Glow Mesotherapy is a semi permanent treatment using the latest technology to come straight out of Korea. Needle Mesotherapy


What is mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure where a series of superfine injections of vitamins, minerals and amino acids cocktails are delivered into the mesodermal layer of the skin. This infusion of savvy ingredients nourishes and rejuvenates the skin while also stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, both essential for skin’s natural elasticity.


What can you expect?

Treatment time takes approximately 30 minutes and whilst not painful, it can be slightly uncomfortable so an anesthetic cream can be used if skin is a little sensitive. With minimal downtime – a little bruising and swelling may occur but it will be short lived and should settle within 24 hours – skin will become more radiant, hydrated, nourished and firmer with an improved texture. 

A course of 6-8 sessions are advised every two weeks with maintenance treatments 1-2 times a year.

Dermaplaning Facial

An exfoliatin treatment that removes peach fuzz and dead skin

How does it work? 

Dermaplaning uses a surgical blade to perform a deep exfoliation. The edge of the scalpel is used at a 45-degree angle to scrape the build-up of dirt and oils in and around the skin and vellus hair.

The vellus hair is completely removed during the process leaving skin ultra-smooth and creating the perfect base for make-up application.


What can I expect during the treatment?

After  makeup is removed the skin will be double-cleansed to create a clear canvas for treatment. Skin is then blotted and degreased using an oil-free toner. The dermaplaning procedure is methodically carried out working the whole face one area at a time. After the dermaplaning is complete we will apply mask and follow with serum or moisturiser depending on skin type and a lip and eye product to finish.

The treatment is completely pain-free and no downtime is required. 


Are there any side effects?

Dermaplaning is a very safe procedure. Skin is stretched during the procedure and the blade is always held at a 45-degree angle to reduce the risk of nicking the skin with the blade. If you have dry patches of skin, a small amount of serum is applied to enable to the blade to glide across the skin smoothly.

Skin may be a little pink immediately after treatment due to being stretched but this normally subsides within an hour or so.

Peach fuzz / vellus hairs do not come back thicker and stronger. It will grow back at exactly the same rate, thickness and texture as before


How many treatments would I need?

Dermaplaning treatment can be carried out every 3-4 weeks and removal of peach fuzz / vellus hair and dead skin can be achieved with a single treatment.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

A computer-controlled pump inflates the individual sections of the multi- chambered garments, which are positioned around the limbs. The pump inflates each chamber of the garment individually. Once a chamber has been inflated, its pneumatic circuit closes. This enables the pump to maintain the preset level and avoid the balancing of pressure with the other chambers. When one chamber is inflated, this causes an increase in pressure of the previously inflated chamber, creating an Automatic Double Pressure Gradient.

The circulatory system moves nutrients, gases and wastes to and from cells to help fight diseases as well as helping stabilize the body’s temperature and pH to maintain homeostasis.
